Refers to summer courses at Öland as well as courses with Johannes Källman.

By booking your Vedic Art course, you agree to the Vedic Art method's general terms and conditions and our current terms and conditions for course booking.

You commit to respect our rules for comfort and safety during the attended courses.

The terms and conditions apply to the Vedic Art summer courses as well as the courses with Johannes Källman.

The terms and conditions were updated in November 2023.

Payment

Payment for the courses

You book your course and pay on our website. You pay in advance through debit or credit card, Paypal or Apple pay. The course is then executed on the dates given in the course information. The course fee for the Teacher Training will be charged in two installments. One installment at the time of the booking of the course and the next installment will be paid through an invoice which will be sent to you.

Booking, cancellation and rebooking

THE BOOKING IS PERSONAL

It is not possible to give your booking to a third party. The person who books the course and agrees to our terms and conditions is responsible for both the booking and the payment.
All the participants are recommended to be in charge of their own bookings. If you book a course for another person, you will be responsible for both the booking and the payment. You need to be at least 18 years old to be eligible to book a course.

REBOOKING DEADLINE

To be able to change your booking to another course or request a credit voucher for the course fee, you will need to cancel your booking at least 10 days before the start of the course. In case of illness or accidents, the same terms apply up until 24 hours before the course starts.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUMMER COURSES, ÖLAND

We will give you a full refund of the course fee when you cancel your booking up until the 30th of April. Rebooking, or requesting a credit voucher for the course fee is possible up until 10 days before the start of the course. We do not refund the course fee if you cancel after 30th of April. Your booking is binding from May 1.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WEEKEND COURSES WITH JOHANNES KÄLLMAN

Rebooking, or receiving a credit voucher for the course fee is possible up until 10 days before the start of the course. The course fee is not refundable, the booking is binding.

REBOOKING

Rebooking is done by booking and paying for the course you want to change to through the Vedic Art website www.vedicart.com. As a next step you contact Vedic Art on info@vedicart.com, we will then cancel and refund the course you wish to rebook. This is possible up until 10 days before the start of the course.

THE LAW ON RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL IS NOT APPLICABLE

The Swedish law regarding 14 days right of withdrawal is not applicable when booking a Vedic Art course.
Times when the law of right of withdrawal is not applicable: Leisure activities that is taking place on a set date or during a limited time period (Konsumentverket))

Correct prior knowledge

If a participant is not authorized to participate in a course they booked and paid for, Vedic Art has the right to cancel their booking and refund the course fee. Participants are always obliged to find out what prior knowledge is required to participate in a course before booking.

IN CASE OF CANCELLATION OF THE EVENT

If a course is canceled Vedic Art will refund you the course fee. Vedic Art does not take any responsibility for the costs of participant’s travel, stay or other personal costs related to a canceled course.
Force majeure: In the instance of war, fire, riot, nature disasters, pandemic restrictions, or other compulsory interventions from the government which prevents the courses to take place, Vedic Art has the right to delay refunds of the course fee, or offer credit vouchers instead which then can be used when the courses can take part again.

Important to know

Comfort and safety

INSURANCE

All participants must have valid insurance for travel and health care. Vedic Art course activities are fully insured.

In case of illness

If you, because of illness, medication or ongoing medical treatments, fear that you might not be able to attend the course you have booked, we ask you to communicate this with us upon booking. Vedic Art disclaims all responsibility in case of illness in relation to the course or after the course. Vedic Art does not take responsibility for participants’ travel to or from health care practices, hospitals or health checks.

Zero tolerance to narcotics

Use of narcotics is not allowed during the Vedic Art courses.

Positive atmosphere and respectful relating during the courses

The Vedic Art courses emphasize personal freedom, integrity and an undemanding calm and peaceful atmosphere to create and flourish in.

Inappropriate behavior

Vedic Art has the right to turn away participants or visitors who behave offensively or at repeated times shows lack of respect for the rules for respectful relating and integrity. In the event of damage to Vedic Art’s or the property owner's property, the course participant is liable for the damage. If a participant who has been banned from participating in courses books a course, Vedic Art has the right to cancel their booking and refund the course fee.

Respecting the times of arrival and departure

It is not permitted to check into the art studio before the stated check-in time. Check-out must always take place before the specified check-out time. Vedic Art reserves the right to temporarily turn away people who do not respect the check-in and check-out times. Late check-out may be charged.

Compulsory attendance

Attendance is compulsory from day one during all lessons when you attend the basic course, continuation course and teacher training at Öland for the first time. Compulsory attendance does not apply if you repeat a course. Vedic Art reserves the right to charge extra for private lessons to make up for missed lessons. Vedic Art also has the right to terminate participants' participation in the course, without refunding the fee, in the event of repeated absences.

The Art Studio

The Vedic Art staff has the right to access the participants' personal studio space in the event of cleaning as well as repair of the business's inventory. The staff has the right to move the art space’s inventory and course participants' personal belongings if they block common spaces or are otherwise inappropriately placed. Easels, chairs, tables, discs and other belongings of Vedic Art Öland may not be moved, repainted or changed without permission from the staff. Participants' personal belongings and equipment belonging to the art studio must not be placed in common areas or block the exits. Vedic Art is not responsible for lost or forgotten belongings.

Studio space is included in the course on öland

Studio space is included when you book a course. The studio space and the course are located at the same site. It is not permitted to take part in lectures held at another course site. If different courses are held on the same site, permission to listen to lectures that belong to a different course than the course you have booked, is always required from the management or the teacher of the course. Staff at Vedic Art Öland have the option of getting an exemption from this rule.

closed for cleaning

Vedic Art's studios on Öland are closed for cleaning on Saturdays from when check-out closes until check-in opens. During this period, only permitted staff may stay in the studio. It is not permitted for participants to paint or stay in the studio when it is closed for cleaning. This applies to both departing, remaining and newly arrived participants.

Policy for cleaning Vedic Art Öland: Vacuuming of common areas and painting areas takes place on Saturday mornings or evenings on weekdays. We notify you in advance if personal belongings need to be moved from the floor of the painting areas. When vacuuming, switching off the lighting in the ceiling may be necessary to avoid overloading the electrical system. Switching off the lighting in the ceiling during cleaning is announced in advance.

discharge

Vedic Art Öland disclaims all responsibility for disturbances, discomfort or damage to property and belongings caused by wind, drafts, rain, flood, insects, animals, birds, moisture, heat and cold. We take no responsibility for allergic reactions caused by animals, plants or other allergens.

Lighting

Vedic Art Öland cannot guarantee satisfactory lighting in the studios for painting at times other than when daylight is satisfactory. Vedic Art is not able to change the lighting in the studios at the request of participants.

Broken lamps or fluorescent tubes are replaced or repaired only when the property owner or electrician is available. The lighting must be off when no one is in the studio. The lighting must be on when participants wish it to be.

Personal data

Addresses and personal data are only available to Vedic Art and our financial partners Shopify, FortNox Finans, Paypal, Zettle, Klarna, Apple Pay and Ludvig & co Accounting. Vedic Art and its collaboration partners comply with the personal data law GDPR. Personal data is not used for advertising purposes and is not disclosed to third parties. Vedic Art does not have responsibility for our collaboration partners' handling of personal data.

Vedic Art is not responsible for your travel or accommodation during the course

Book your accommodation in advance or at the same time you book the course, as the course registration is binding. Your travel to and from the course is entirely your own responsibility. Vedic Art disclaims all responsibility for participants' travel and accommodation during and in connection with course activities. In case of canceled courses, Vedic Art does not have any responsibility for travel, accommodation or other personal expenses.

Plan your trip and accommodation well in advance.

Underage participants

People under the age of 18 are only allowed to participate in the courses or be in the studio in the company of an adult. A guardian or other responsible adult takes on full responsibility for the safety and well-being of minors. In the event of damage to Vedic Arts’ or the property owner's property, the guardian is liable for the damages.

By booking the course and accepting our terms and conditions, you undertake to follow and respect Vedic Art's rules for well-being and safety.

PEACE AND QUIET IN THE STUDIOS

Please note that only short and quiet conversations are allowed inside our studios. Total silence is not required. Saturdays are usually slightly more noisy due to the fact that many people arrive or leave as courses start and end on these days.

INTEGRITY

Do not comment or ask questions about other participants’ paintings. Respect every person's right to be in their own process. If you should have any questions or if the need for support should arise, then please turn to one of the teachers. Never take photos of other participants and their paintings, unless you’ve got their permission to do so.

OUR OWN STUDIO SPACE

We have the right to remain undisturbed while in our own studio space. Please allow for other participants to paint on their own, without entering their personal space. People that are in the process of painting are not to be disturbed at any means.

RISK OF FIRE

It is forbidden to bring any type of fire into the art spaces. Incense and lighted candles are not allowed.

NO ALCOHOL

Alcohol is not allowed here.

ALLERGIES

Perfume and incense are not allowed here. No dogs in our studios or garden.

SMOKING

Smoking is strictly prohibited in our studios and in the immediate surroundings. If choosing to smoke please refer to a designated smoking area.

NO OIL PAINTING/SPRAY CANS IN OUR STUDIOS

Due to the smell and for environmental reasons.

THE GARDEN

Conversations in a normal tone of voice are permitted in Vedic Art Öland's gardens. Loud conversations next to the studios' entrances and windows should be avoided as the sound will travel through to the studio spaces. The garden is only for the participants on that particular site. Consideration must be shown during lectures in the garden.

PROCEDURES AT THE PREMISES

Procedures for the premises and instructions for Vedic Art Öland's various studios and gardens may occur. This is mainly in regards to issues such as lighting, toilets, doors, windows and gates.

VISITORS/GUESTS AT VEDIC ART ÖLAND

Updated times when we can receive visiting guests in the course premises are to be found on VedicArt.com and shown on the noticeboard in the art studios.

Vedic Art courses - general terms and conditions

Vedic Art courses may only be held by trained Vedic Art teachers.
All courses and education held in the name of Vedic Art which are based on The 17 Principles of the method must be approved by Vedic Art.
It is not permitted to convey or publish Vedic Art principles and course content outside the course setting.
Lectures are to be given live in real time during the courses according to the Vedic Art oral tradition. Recordings, video and audio, are not allowed.
Activities that are not included within the Vedic Art method are not to be held during the course.
All education that contains Vedic Arts course programs and principles must always be held under the name of Vedic Art.

UPDATES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Vedic Art reserves the right to update, change or make additions to the terms and conditions for the course's implementation, enjoyment and safety. Changes are notified via email to participants booked on the course.

QUESTIONS
